When the world zigs, zag

A tempting rallying cry. But a zag without intent is just a loud detour.

The kind of disruption that truly matters comes from empathy, not ego. It happens when you notice something quietly failing people and choose to step aside from the crowd to fix it. The zag then feels less like rebellion and more like responsibility.

Tata Nano didn’t become the success many hoped for, yet its heart was undeniable. While the market chased luxury, Nano asked a gentler question: can a family be safer on the road without paying a fortune? That question alone made it more than a gimmick.

And then there are the quiet zags we barely notice. Curb cuts on sidewalks were designed for wheelchair users. Today, they help parents pushing prams, delivery workers, travelers with luggage. A small deviation, born from care, ended up serving many lives.

This is where design reveals its soul. Design must exist to serve. It should feel like someone thought of you before you arrived.
So yes, zag. But zag with kindness. Zag with a reason that starts with a human need. Zag in a way that, years later, feels obvious and inevitable.

Because the most beautiful disruptions don’t shout. They gently say, “We noticed. And we made it better.” 🌱

If you sit with the idea of leadership without the noise of notifications, dashboards, and borrowed opinions, something quietly clarifies. The greatest leaders are rarely juggling ten agendas. They are obsessively committed to one. Vision, carried by passion.
